Dalyan is one of the few unspoiled areas with such easy access and the coast at hand. The town population is mostly Turkish but you will find some English spoken by most of the local cafe and restaurant owners. It is not the busy, hectic lifestyle you'll find in the main resorts but there are enough shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife to keep you happy. If you are seeking a bit more activity at times, then Marmaris and Fethiye are just over an hour's drive and the pretty marina town of Gocek around only ten minutes.
Relaxed country living. The town has a very laid-back, peaceful feel and is mostly populated with locals who are friendly and welcoming. Much of the local business activity centres around the river. This is a place of "slow down, relax and don't rush".
