E-mail Print

hot air balloonHot air ballooning not only allows you to enjoy some peace and quiet, but gives you the opportunity to gaze at the breathtaking scenery that Turkey boasts. It’s the perfect method of transport to give you a peaceful and relaxing sightseeing tour, where you can get a bird’s eye view of the Asian quarters of Turkey.

Hot air ballooning proves very popular among tourists and among artistic travelers who are looking for inspiration. It’s also used to explore the mountains that are unreachable because of limited roads.

A hot air balloon is a balloon attached to a cane basket, where the passengers are expected to either stand or sit. The hot air is created by a flame from a burner to provide fuel to take off and to land. When hot air lets off and blows up, the balloon ascends and when the hot hair quantity is reduced, the balloon looses height. It’s usual for a hot air balloon to ascend to 1500 feet.
Whilst drifting across the skies, and over the hills, forests and mountains, you’ll feel weirdly at peace and out of this world, especially if you’re travelling on a calm day, when hot air ballooning is not bumpy. And if your ride does feel a little rough, it will only be down to the tousle of the wind.

It is very safe to hot air balloon. The majority of hot air balloon workers have qualified pilots with them to guarantee that there will not be any problems.

The Cappadocia region is the favorable place to hot air balloon and it is understandable why; the Cappadocia mountain range is the most breathtaking landscape in Turkey.

The ideal time to take off in a balloon is in the early morning, when the breeze is calm yet strong enough to lift up the balloon and perfect for smooth flights and landings. And of course, you’re most likely going to be bringing along your camera for some photographs and the pictures will turn out best in the morning light. 10 miles per hour is the typical wind speed of hot air ballooning and the winds need to be stable so that you don’t end up feeling queasy.

There are few rules and regulations when flying in a balloon, the only required rule is the dress code; Wear flat shoes and dress casually.
